- Product must be installed in accordance with current TCNA Handbook stone methods. The Natural Stone Institute (NSI) recommends installing resin-backed stone with epoxy-based setting materials or a combination of primer + a high-performance cementitious mortar. Consult your setting materials manufacturer for specific recommendations. Regarding the installation of fiberglass mesh backed stones, consult with your fabricator/installer for recommended installation method. Options include but are not limited to complete removal of fiberglass mesh backing (where applicable) or installing with epoxy setting material. Outdoor counters: these slabs are treated with resin and may yellow with UV exposure. Change will be less visible on dark or colorful stones. Minor vein washout is possible in wet installations. Seal all natural stone prior to grouting
