As a South Carolina native, Amber grew up loving sweetgrass baskets and admiring the women who weaved and sold them on the streets of Charleston. For more than 300 years tracing back to the slave trade in West Africa, people throughout the Lowcountry have woven these traditional baskets from natural grasses. This patterned wallpaper is dedicated to both the descendants and talented artisans who continue to preserve the history of this unique art.
