    I love 1960s Pop Art, the bright colors and the celebration of imagery from everyday life. But while Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein created paintings based on advertising, celebrity and comic books, the thing I remember most about those years was sugar. This big lollipop was inspired by childhood memories of eating way too much candy, and by the bold simple patterns that were popular when I was growing up. The title of this collection refers to both the style and the subject matter.
