Wallcovering Description

Inspired by traditional Japanese rock gardens, artist Jan Habraken has adapted the ancient practice of raking sand, stones and gravel into soothing, meditative channels. The intention is to suggest gentle waves or expanding ripples of water, and the effect is translated onto walls with tightly arranged vertical stripes that create a mesmerizing undulation. One variant of this pattern features concentric circles that punctuate the space, while another features coyly arranged half-moons that redirect eyes into instant reverse.
